Functional Rehabilitation Services

Helping individuals reach their full recreational and occupational potential after a complex injury.

What is Functional Rehabilitation

It focuses on what activities (both work and hobbies) the individual is struggling to do, and devising a rehabilitation programme completely focused on restoring their functional capacity back to where they want and need it to be.

How can we help?

Our specialist functional restoration programme is called “Designed2Move” and is offered in two ways:

  • Designed2Move
  • Designed2Move Digital

Both start with an assessment to look at what they are able to manage and what they are currently struggling to do. This considers their underlying injuries and/or health conditions, alongside other factors that may be affecting their recovery.

They then enter into either a 6, 9, or 12-session community-based programme that has a strong focus on goal-orientated rehabilitation. We create meaningful goals and explore their motivation to engage in rehabilitation to ensure it is the right service for them.

All programmes then finish will a full re-assessment to review their functional progress and scores.

Within the programme, we also provide a budget for rehabilitation equipment, a case summary report after each session, and time for multidisciplinary (MDT) meetings if required.
